Named after the city of Greece, Patras, where the artist lived when this painting was created, this is an amalgamation of all of his work during that period. A chimera of chaos and mathematical entities, organic and inorganic, optimism and pessimism. At the center of the painting we encounter an almost hidden photograph of the city’s central square. On it and around it, built at some times in an automatist fashion and others in an ornamental one, lies the complexity, impression and compressed time associated with the specific locality.
